Okay, guys. I'm actually pretty surprised you guys don't know the basic stuff about your president. I'm not an American. But.. Honestly you guys should look this up. I'm not telling you off but you guys should know this. It makes y'all look weird to us, the third world ones. There is a very simple Wikipedia article, Family of Barack Obama that you can refer to, for starters.
Anyhow, here's a quick summary. Barack Obama, the president's father's father (BO's grandfather) was born in the faith of Roman Catholicism and then converted to Islam. Barack Obama Sr. (BO's father, an economist) attended a Christian missionary school, and thus despite having been brought up in the Muslim faith converted to Anglican-ism and later became an Atheist. BO's mother, Ann Dunham, an anthropologist, was an agnostic. If you read BO's book's, you'll find that he wasn't at all brought up in a religious household, let alone an Islamic one.
