To clear up that jumble of words; it's the first I've because hes just ignoring/pushing out everything that doesn't fit ideal.

I feel like it's more so escaping reality. Because either way you look at it, once his ears are plugged, so is the world and that's a feeling a lot if people look for. He's trying to ignore everything
