Something every parent should consider 13 comments

Some values are timeless, though.
The world doesn't owe you anything.
You're not more important than anyone else.
Take responsibility for your actions and the resulting consequences.
These three basic ideas seem lost on just about everyone these days. Coming across someone that doesn't suffer from an over inflated sense of self-worth these days is shockingly rare.

Give it a fucking rest already. This whole "I'm so depressed, but no one will know because I put on such a brave face" nonsense is tiresome. You're not fucking depressed. None of you are. Find something else to diagnose yourselves with.

This isn't about being fat. This is about forcing your unpleasantness on others. I don't want to see, in detail, how little your care about yourself. Keep it covered as best you can.

You poor thing. Others are dealing with their own problems and not giving YOU the attention YOU deserve. Maybe you should grow the fuck and deal with it.

Oddly enough my blood is actually trying to kill me right now. Well, technically my body is attacking proteins in my blood, causing clots, which are trying to kill me. I just thought that was a fun little anecdote to throw in here.

Dogs don't exist in nature. They are creation of man. If man found a need for a 500 pound dog, they would exist.

This is what gives you faith in a generation? A bunch of idiots wearing dresses to protest another idiot getting the attention he was seeking by wearing a dress to school?
That's as stupid as this kid I worked with years ago. I told him you can't wear shorts to work because it's against safety codes (commercial construction). The next day he shows up wearing shorts, gets sent home, and pisses and moans about it for a month. "It's not fair."

My neighbor tried this with the other neighbor's bull mastiff. It doesn't work. You're reinforcing bad behavior with a reward. Since they put a sign up expecting others to train their dog, they shouldn't own a dog. They don't have the time for one.

These are based on sentimentality and shouldn't be held to if you actually want a well adjusted dog. The fact most of the responses seem to agree with it explains why 98% of current dog owners shouldn't be allowed to own one. These are animals breed to perform a function. They are not an outlet for your emotional, mental, personality problems.

This never actually happened. This was written by someone that doesn't believe in religion or the bible. You can tell by the rather weak argument presented.
You can think marriage should be between a man and woman and not hate anyone, not wish ill towards anyone, or think less of anyone. Not sure why the open minded crowd can't seem to grasp it.

The Babadook is not only terrible, it's not a horror movie. It's a Lifetime movie with some weird, indecisive supernatural overtones forced into it.

Jump scares, if done right, can help build tension. Some of the all time classic horror movies feature a jump scare or two. Poor writing and flat out boring movies are the problems these days, not jump scares.

Is this a thing now? This putting on a brave face, even though I'm really super sad and have metal problems, well I haven't been diagnosed with mental illness, but look how super sad I am, I must have some type of mental illness. Is this an actual thing now, wishing for depression and mental illness?

There's actually been quite a few gun regulations passed since Columbine. A small number compared to the number of bills proposed, but some gun regulations have passed. Passing laws to make something that's already illegal more illegal doesn't stop anything. Look at the war on drugs.
