He said he wanted to end it all so the guy gave him pills to commit suicide and this is confused as to what he means by cured

One thing I've learnt from living in Australia is that the smaller animals are sometimes the most deadly! For example a blue ringed octopus is tiny and the deadly jellyfish are about the size of your finger and transparent!
