I believe that God is real because that's what the Bible says. And why is the Bible reliable, you might ask? I know that the Bible is true because throughout the centuries, facts that have been written in the Bible have been proven. For instance, in the Bible, it states that the Earth is a sphere. Now, back two thousand years ago when this was written, scientists at the time said the Earth was flat. We now know that the whole time, the Bible was correct. There are countless other examples of the Bible proving science wrong throughout history.
Also, I realize that some people think that there cannot be a God, because there is too much pain in the world. Pain, along with the challenges of life, are meant for us to learn and grow. God wants us to see that without him, there is only despair and grief. I mean, really, when you look at the world around us, with its wars and politics and natural disasters, even I have to admit that it sucks. But in the end, there is something much better :)
