Yeah demo sexual just means you're not sexually attracted to anyone until you form an emotional bond with them. Not a preference

Another ace here! Just to clarify, the only reason I think asexuals have tagged onto the LGBT movement is because we want visibility. No one knows what the fuck we are. And when I tell people I don't ever experience sexual attraction to ANYONE they think I'm lying, and I'm not even going to go into how hard it is to find someone who would want to date someone who's also sex-repulsed. However, I agree that I don't have it nearly as hard as someone who is gay or lesbian or trans, but it's not a label I use to be special. It's just kinda a tool we use to find other people like us and to help clarify who we are as human beings.

The love for Snape I believe comes from the underlying fear that he feels towards Harry. It's one of those "what could've been" things, where Snape and Harry could've been good friends in an alternate reality, but because Snape is afraid of the relationship Lily had with James, instead of honoring her memory, he can't see past the fact that Harry product of her romance with James. If he did, he'd realize Harry is much more his mother than his father, and that Snape has lost yet another chance to love Lily. It's the tragedy of his character that people like--the fact that so many things could've right for him, but that they didn't, and so that makes a lot of his actions forgivable.

It's just that straight people don't have to fight to get married or be understood. If you really want to help out in the striaght community, you could try to spread acceptance of all types of straight people (i.e., girls who sleep with lots of people, boys who want to wait till marriage)

You must be a resident of the U.K., then, or on the upper esscelons of society (such as myself). I assure you, very few people in the United States that I know are aware than the 'pause' and 'finish' positions actually exist at all.

Redefining flower language 24 comments

Actually, in Elizabethan England, flowers had different meanings and were like a code. Pansies were for thoughts, fennel: infidelity, roses were love and so on. You wouldn't dream of getting your date columbines (also infidelity--there must have been a lot of infidelity going on) and you CERTAINLY wouldn't give your mother roses. Just a fun fact

For all of those who really don't understand: many gay relationships have a "top" and a "bottom." One person's a top and the other's the bottom. Google it if you really still don't understand

"It's the absurdist movement of the 2010's, it looks quite comical, but it's really a reflection of the hollowness that life had for many people during that time. The movement is most closely associated with the Dadaism of the 1940's."

considered normal, statistically. That isn't to say there's 'wrong' with anyone who has it, or that they need to be fixed, that's only to say that most people do not have it, so it isn't considered normal.
Love all you beautiful human beings, you. If you have any questions, complaints, ask/complain :) for now, science-side out

Hey everyone, it's the science side of Funsubstance. You all are of course allowed to keep your own opinions, but here's what science says:
Human beings (even hermadaphrodites) have one of two chromosomes: and X or a Y. This dictates your sex. Girls are XX and boys are XY. Gender may be up to more interpretation, but as far as sex goes, you cannot biologically change what you were born with (but you can change it legally with an operation)
Some animals have more than 2 genders. Some flora, fungi specifically, have thousands, even, but this isn't the case for humans. Our chromosomes may be one of two types: nothing else.
Gender dysmorphia is currently classified as a mental disease, and you can argue over the moralities of that, but fact remains that evolutionary-wise, this would not be favored since it doesn't favor offspring, (though of course it's still possible). As far as "normal" goes, since less than 50% of the population of humans has this condition, safe to say, it is not
