If you live in a conservative state in the us they simply say: don't do it. They may not directly say god frowns upon it because of law but when all your classmates are talking about the word of god and your teachers are as well it's pretty obvious how they feel.

They're actually all speaking Chinese, the earth was dominated by the Chinese and in turn everyone from Earth spoke Chinese. So, all of humanity once living on the terra formed planets spoke Chinese but may have some different dialects like Chinese does now. If you pay attention, they swear in and words in the background are written in Chinese. Just, for the sake of the audience they speak English.
