My dad and I went to see Bridge to Terabithia in theaters when it first came out, neither of us realized that it was a book originally or that someone would die. We just thought it would be a happy, FUN movie. Anyway, long story short we were both crying in that movie theater and were one of the last ones out because we had to take some time to calm ourselves down.

Option 1: They're homeschooled.
Option 2: They were absent and they did makeup work.
Option 3: It's bologna like you said.
Option 4: A mom/dad asked their kid the question out loud, the kid answered it in a funny way and then they wanted the kid to write it down for posterity.

The only question I have: is it water proof? I would hate to have to take it off before I washed my hands every time. Urgh. Like mood rings. I damaged so many of those suckers growing up by forgetting to take them off and getting water all over them.

Maybe if he's feeling guilty enough. Or, if this was a murder mystery/thriller, it would be because the woman was loaded and her boyfriend and the person he was cheating on her with decided that they wanted her cash without the extra baggage of the woman around. So he gets a tattoo of her in the hopes that it will alleviate suspicion from him when he and his mistress kill the woman and try to make it look like a suicide. Of course, that still wouldn't explain how he'd get the woman's money since he's just the boyfriend. Maybe if they were living together long enough? I'm not sure how that works exactly.
