Chickens go through similar things. Some folks who work at chicken slaughterhouses admit to enjoying stepping on or stomping on them cause they like the popping soinds they make when thy die. Thrpwing them against walls was considered fun too. Sadistic people exist and even if the process isn't efficient there are some who do this cause they like it.
