It's amazing what a country can afford when you don't have vast swaths of society looking to scheme the welfare system out of the most possible money, and you don't raise your many kids from many different fathers to plan to just stay on gubmint assistance for their whole lives.

Just don't go on about how others should pay "their fair share" of taxes when you avoid paying taxes by trading goods outside the monetary system.

In the college dorms, someone did that to me. Then several months later I thought it had happened again With the dryer. With a little more searching I found that whoever had used the dryer after me had folded all my dry clothes nicely and put them on a table in another corner of the laundry room. There were girls clothes in the dryer that I had been using, and I always wondered what that girl was like. I sort of regret never having been able to find a way to meet her.

Fact that I find most interesting is that one group of people can use a word that I'm not allowed to use, but I'm racist for pointing that out, although it's not racist that it's true.

Thanks for the correction. I still think you ought to have some idea of what you want to do before you start dropping 10s of thousands on college. No question that people will change as the world opens up...someone may start a job, and then see career paths they didn't know about before. But still, your main "goal" is to not have regrets in your 40s? That seems to set you up for the worst kind of regret....not doing anything vs. starting off on a path and adjusting it as you learn more.

I go to BW3 to watch college football games and basketball games or NFL games that aren't aired locally. (I follow non-local teams.) If I have two beers and a tiny snack, it's >$20. I'm just realizing I can afford the next level of cable package and be money ahead.

My guess: self-proclaimed "protesters" who are actually a bunch of self-absorbed self-centered spoiled babies. Or, it could be a protest in another country where the general populace would love to be as well off as the people in the developed world who claim to be down trodden and oppressed.
