captain here. Every personal different when it comes to how much sleep they need. I can easily function off 6-8 hours but my twin brother struggles with less than 9. It's part genetic, part diet, and part rhythm. Some people only need 4 hours to function fully (like Margaret Thatcher), basically it's luck of the draw but a good diet and regular sleep cycle also contribute
