How would the dog find out it wasn't his parade? Dogs live in the moment and so it WAS his parade alone. They're not as fragile as we are, trying to live in the past and the future at the same time and missing out the present. That dog's not going to mope around when he finds out it wasn't for him and he's not going to be afraid of people mocking him in memes.
