I mean if the companies were truly evil they’d exploit our tech dependency. Eg what if google charged you for every search because there was no equal search engine? Or apple and samsung actually making their devices with a “life expectancy” of until the next phone came out? That’d be evil, but as it is they’re just practicing normal business tactics. And yes I understand the new Mac stand is expensive but those computers are nearly 4k so what did you expect? Professional grade tech will typically come w/ “professional” grade accessories and if you’re really put out over the cost most standard computer stands work with their computers

My grandma has been a manager of radiology departments for 20+ years and lemme tell you that those little booths are actual live savers to X-ray techs. Like no one really cares about X-ray techs in the hospitals where around here so there’s been instances of their personal radiation monitors (work on their ID badge to limit dangerous exposer) breaking and the hospitals saying “we’ll get to it” aka “there could be a present threat of radiation against our populous or you alone could just be screwed in the event of a future crisis...I don’t care either way cause that’s not important”
