I googled it, if you are curious they don't actually line up in the rectangle because the slopes of the hypotenuses are different. This leaves a long, thin parallelogram in the middle with an area of 1 square unit, the difference between the two.

This was the best part of the movie. All his family are saying "No, Mitt! Stop it!" and he's like, "I probably should have done this before I put it on... ow. ow. That hurts. That's not good."

This is at the Exploratorium! It's this super cool science museum in San Francisco but you do all the experiments and figure out the science yourself in things like this. My favorite :)

When someone wants to ruin a book/movie for me 18 comments

Hate to break it to you, but a study done by some Austrians in 2010 said that people can enjoy movies equally as much even if they know the ending. They didn't study books or shows but predicted that it was the same - knowing the ending doesn't make you enjoy something less, and can even make it more enjoyable.

Yeah I couldn't stand Harry for most of the 4th book on. He meant well (sometimes) but was totally annoying and not as worthy as Hermione for the credit he got.

The conditions people are living in are weird and not very good because of the bad economy and government, etc., but people should stop hating on the Olympics considering they have actually been very successful and everything that has needed to happen for the games has.

People who wear that much makeup set their own standards unrealistically high - if you regularly wear none or little makeup, it's not such a shocking transition to see you without it.

All the notes have a letter - A, B, C, ... G. Those are a certain note, but those notes can be high pitched or low pitched. So, the same notes start on the left as low notes (a lower version of A, B, C, etc) and end on the right with higher pitched versions of the same notes. All that makes up the white keys. The black keys are essentially the same but have different names and sounds.

No PA systems? I don't have to do the pledge of allegiance at my school because it's out of the regular system, but we still have a PA system for fire drills or emergencies.

By putting Cinderella in the non-fiction section, didn't Dewey just completely undermine the entire point of his own system? No one will go looking for fairy tales near the other non fiction books, nor will look for nonfiction where Cinderella is...

I have seen this everywhere but it's totally false! The colors represent every color on every participating nation's flag (with purple, orange, etc counting as blue or yellow). Also, America is not a continent, North America is (and so is South America which isn't even represented here).
