Guns have not really been "banned" only put under stricter regualtions, so the answer by default would be the Kinder Surprise

Making more laws doesn't neccesarily make people safer, it just makes more criminals. Fantastic way of putting it!

It was put in the Bill of Rights because of the day the famous quote came "The british are coming" The british were coming to collect the colonies guns and kill two very important revolusionist (I forget who, my apoligies) and so, when the founding fathers wrote the 2nd Amendment, it was to protect the peoples rights of safety in their homes, and in way, basically giving the people a way to over throw the government if it became to power crazed. Hope that answered you, or maybe I was just bumbling random stuff. Oh well.
