I met a guy when I was 17 and we became instant friends and were inseparable for a bit, but college took us in different directions (we went to the same college, but partied and didn't ever get together besides hooking up once later). We lost touch eventually. Last year, he got sick and almost died, but during his drugged up, feverish state in the hospital, he had a dream about me and said my name. His gf at the time got mad and they broke up. I had thought about him at about the same time and found his email online. It wasn't an address he normally uses, so it took awhile for him to check it and reply after I emailed him to say hello. He asked me to call him, I did and we talked on the phone for hours everyday (for 2 months), then he packed up his stuff and drove across the country to be with me (moved here). I am 39 and he is 40 and he is my soulmate and the love of my life. He was the first one to say that we are soulmates, but I definitely agree. Don't give up!

Anne Frank died very young compared to King, as well. She didn’t live to even know Martin Luther existed.

It took me a minute, but when I finally got it, angels sang! This is super well done!

Questions/thoughts I have:
1. Did his girlfriend just tell him she was uncomfortable or did she actually ask him to stop hanging out with his best friend?
2. It seems like the girl's blaming the girlfriend for what her friend's doing, instead of her friend. He has the freedom to make his own choices and he's choosing to skip out on their friendship for someone else which doesn't sound like a good friend to me.
3. I feel iffy about the girl posting this though because I don't think people should throw all that out there and if anything it'd just push her friend away more because she's ragging on his girlfriend.
4. Basically I think there are no winners here because it sounds like everyone sucks.
5. Alternate theory: maybe the guy didn't want to be her friend anymore and tried to make it less awkward for himself by pinning what he was doing on his girlfriend. Kind of like how when I didn't want to socialize I'd say that I had to do chores otherwise my parents would get mad at me.

Depends on the bachelor party. The HIMYM Barney style parties, are not appropriate at all...

Usually for me it's the older people. Guys usually are like "oh that's bad" but they don't really diss me like how some adults do

In my experience other men are the ones who put the pressure on to be "manly," not females. That's why I have so many more female friends.
