the taller the black part gets the louder it was. Interesting to note, the guy emphasized they I in "I do" whereas the girl emphasized "i DO"

Would guess the reason she learned it is because the guy is italian. Would mean the parents are italian, much more likely to speak italian

Its also so people don't diagnose themselves incorrectly. Even if you are just refilling the same contacts you've been using, you never know if somethings changed in your vision or eyes that an optometrist would notice. Such as the contacts not letting your eyes breathe enough, which can cause extremely serious issues if left uncorrected.

it doesnt mean that, it was somebody texting that meant to use the term of endearment "babe" and missed the b. Then it just caught on because people thought it was funny or cute and copied it. As paaaisleyyy put it "before anyone else caught me sleeping" makes absolutely no sense, however "babe caught me sleeping" makes perfect sense. Somebody just took the 3 letters and made it up to "mean" that way after the fact

Unless you've been taught that their are only 4 Continents, then North America and South America are different Continents, so no, "America" isnt the fucking continent as their are 2 of them. Central American countries are part of the North American CONTINENT. And if you haven't realized it by now, language was invented by people and changes constantly. Abbreviations happen all the time and become commonly accepted. When somebody says "Mexico" do you have no idea where they are talking about? You have to hear "United Mexican States" to understand? I suppose you also don't know where Russia or China are? Or plenty of other countries that actually have longer names but are abbreviated to one word. But your right, its those dam lazy "United States of Americans" that just can't spend aaaall those seconds to say it all.....theres definitely no other people that do it...

The tips do NOT belong to the restaurant, the customer isn't tipping the owner or busboy or cook, they are tipping their server. Its there money at that point. The rest of what fizzle said is correct though, the reason server min wage is lower is because tips are factored into it. If you aren't tipped enough that tips + wage < regular min wage, the restaurant has to pay the remainder. As to the Canada thing, its fairly hard to compare country to country. Many places any tip at all is frowned upon, others the "accepted average" tip can be anywhere from 5% to 25%. Its very different to talk about somebody making 2.13 and not expected to get tips, and somebody making 2.13 and expecting an AVERAGE customer to tip 25% of their bill. If they are a really good server they probably even expect higher than average. So to say I know a guy that makes X amount, really isn't helpful when comparing.

yet they'll readily accept something they don't actually need because its viewed as just a gift rather than helping because your broke. Even if its the same dollar amount and the reason its being given is exactly the same. No, you DONT need a big TV and cable if you can't afford to keep yourself/family clothed, fed, and warm. It doesn't matter if thats given to you for free, SOMEBODY PAID FOR IT, that money could have been used for an actual necessity

So the internet thing being given from the school I can understand, it came with something else that WAS worth paying for. Everything else has a cost associated with it, not just the cost of what the actual item is, but what you COULD HAVE bought with that same money instead. Even if its a "gift" from somebody else, it still had a cost, that money still could have been used for something else. Rather than have all your relatives sending thousands of dollars to give 1 kid HUNDREDS of MLP, (seriously who needs that many? You could easily make do with under a dozen) you could instead spend those thousands of dollars on food, shoes, heating bill. Rather than let your parents, siblings, kids, friends, whoever, buy you a brand new iphone and pay for the extensive phone bill, have em buy you a cheap phone that can have a much cheaper plan and let them pay for groceries too. The only reason so many people don't is because they are too stubborn and prideful to accept those kind of things, and

The only way they'd be getting to play it is if I knew they were old enough to understand things like killing in video games is much different than real life, and I was in the room with them while they played it so we could stop occasionally and talk about what they are learning (whats real, whats fake, what other effects this part of the story had on the real world) The game could be an absolutely AMAZING way to learn about history, but it DOES need guidance with it so people aren't "learning" the wrong facts. If the parent doesn't have the time to be watching em play, they probably are right in not getting it for the kid

While i do agree that AC has TONS of great historical information in them, it also has lots of made up things built into those historical facts so they look real too. An adult can take that information and filter out the made up bits (or they should be able to) to understand that while that particular little bit is made up, the general info about the building, culture, people, whatever was true. A child is going to have a much harder time filtering those fake bits out, so they are going to think they know fake facts about history. Its like all of those fake "fun facts" things you see on the internet. Smart people see them and realize its somebody playing a prank, dumb people see them and think "wow is this true?! I better tell the world!"
AC also has quite a bit of murdering (no crap right? Assassin is in the name of it) which isn't really suited for a younger audience.
With all that in mind, there is no way in hell I would just buy the game for my kid and tell em have at it

"People worry that little girls will copy her but I doubt they will" right because that definitely hasn't ALREADY happened, surely it won't in the future...............................................
As to the rest, when you go into show business, your life becomes public, all the shitty things you do, everybody hears about it. That means either you can a) not do stupid shitty things, or b) not go into show business. You don't get to pick and choose.
The reason its such a big deal when she does those things as opposed to Lady Gaga, is LG was never on a kids show. She didn't have little girls watching her every day for years thinking shes the coolest person ever and that they want to be just like her. The same little girls that might not understand that "Hannah Montana" was just a character and not the same person as Miley. So when they see her now, doing all the stupid shit she does, its a lot more likely for kids to imitate it. Whether she likes it or not now, she IS a role model.
