Because only in the last year or two have we ratcheted offense and grievance from an 8 to a 9.5.
OK, so they say "ex con" in the headline. That gives more info in less space than giving his name. The headline is SUPPOSED to draw you in to read the article. Did they not mention the name in the article? Of course they did. But yeah, if you only skim headlines you'll miss important details.
Racism? I'll bet that they'd have made the same headline/tagline on a white ex-con as well. But then the offense seekers would say "Oh, you have to point out that a white guy is an 'ex con' because you just assume all Black men are."

Played through the entire original Halo Trilogy with my older brother. The ol' reliable tactic he liked to use when we got stuck was to stick me with a plasma nade to either have me kamikaze whatever it was that was blocking us, or so he could take whatever weapon I had on me.

We simply had a small wedding with only closest of family members ( 20 on each side ). My dress was a simple thing, worth around a 100 dollars and his suit a bit more than that. Our silver rings were from antique shop, aged about 120 years.

I don't understand why replying instantly is a bad thing, or double-texting for that matter. Why is this a thing? Why should I feel ashamed for answering fast?
