that formula is wrong. it should be 1.01*365 instead of 1.01^365 since you do the thing everyday and not double your motivation every day for a year

Corollary: a tiny positive effort each day results in fantastic gain/improvement/growth over time, while the consistent underperformance, even a tiny one, results in massive loss.
Since your life will certainly have many stumbles, and probably more negative surprises than positive ones, giving "a bit more" each day when you're able to pits you way ahead of those who don't, or at least way ahead of where you'd be otherwise.

Another thing to try is asking questions that don't have one word answers. I mean, if you're interested in taking a second level effort at conversation.

Four things..what did the student do to make her spend that kind of energy. Where was the teacher, for an incident that is a horrible response time, and finally...she doesn't look like she's really sorry

If you're that stupid to be using the pullout method, you're a fucking idiot and shouldn't be surprised when you get pregnant or catch an STD

Public bathrooms are always an experience...
Especially walmart and gas stations.. The few times I've been in mens', they've usually been more consistently awful: bad smells, toilet paper, penises drawn everywhere, (because apparently you can never see enough of them in a public restroom), questionable fluids on the floor, even used needles and condoms from time to time. Womens' bathrooms tend to have their messes more contained to a few specific stalls, but by God do you not want to go anywhere near them when they are.. I've walked in to unflushed/flooded toilets, urine on the seats, BLOOD on the seats/walls, used tampons in the toilet, or just tossed on the floor, used pads on the back of the toilet (there were dispensers in the stall so wtf), used diapers on the counters, shrieking kids that sometimes enjoy poking their heads under your stall, toilet paper all over the stall floor, wet toilet paper UNDER the seats (again, WHY,) random garbage abandoned in the stall...

Exactly so. Just because someone has had it worse does not mean your own suffering is irrelevant-- nor does others having it better be any reason to take away from you feeling joyful or content.

Why must it be a need to have someone? I'd rather have someone because I want them and I want to make them happy instead of needing them. There is nothing superior of needing than wanting. If anything, if someone doesn't need you but work so hard just because they want you, isn't that more honourable? They can live without you but they CHOOSE to have you with them because you make things better in their life. Its sometimes miserable to need someone; speaking from experience. Wanting someone is a much better pleasure in life.

The difference between putting .99 effort, 365 days a year and 1.01 is only 0.02 per day but equals a result 1260 times greater then the former.
In other words a small difference everyday can equal an enormous difference at the end
