Please research. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. A few years ago (and really this happens often this is just an example) a big company in US sent money for polio vaccines over seas. They thought they would save lives. What actually happened was those vaccines gave THOUSANDS of children 'polio like systems' including loss of limbs. Its tragic! Liking with a virus like the virus you are preventing isn't a good way to live.
I know, I know. It isn't always like this but too often it is.

As an aussie who has been here, i have to say that although the entire town is known for finding opals and the purpose of those mines was to mine them, I have honestly never heard of anyone finding opals when renovating. But if they did it was probably some thin white opal still in the walls that wasn't worth digging. Either way its a cool place. Literally lol.
