Taxes take care of very little more efficiently. Example - DMV. Tax dollars. Government employees who cant be fired, have ridiculous benefits, dont give a fuck, and are overseen by a bureaucratic nightmare machine into which they have very little input or autonomy to make smart decisions. That having been said, are we rich enough to send everyone to college for free? Probably. Those that argue we dont "need to" might be right, but very few people "needed" even a 6th grade education 100 years ago.

Here’s the etymology of gender.
gender (n.)
c. 1300, "kind, sort, class, a class or kind of persons or things sharing certain traits," from Old French gendre, genre "kind, species; character; gender" (12c., Modern French genre), from stem of Latin genus (genitive generis) "race, stock, family; kind, rank, order; species," also "(male or female) sex," from PIE root *gene- "give birth, beget," with derivatives referring to procreation and familial and tribal groups.

You're looking at the gross amount though. What does that number look like after you've put money towards salaries, and necessary programs. 3.8 trillion goes quickly. So the question is what they're going to cut to give over those billions. And billions are billions

Family or not, cut that sort of toxic, irresponsible people from your life. Did just that a couple years ago, never felt better.

So wholesome. Thank you for being you. We are all fighting hard battles, and some of us do not have the strength to be generous with our affection
Sure would be nice 1 comments

Like - it WOULD be funny if the constant presentation of history wasn’t Euro-Men-Did-All-The-Things-Because-Their-Birthright-Is-Just-To-Be-Awesome-Like-That. But it is, and that’s not only a lie historically. It’s a lie right now. Do you want to know why the history you were taught growing up doesn’t seem to match the world around you, as far as who is the most competent??? I’ll tell you!!!! Because the history you were taught is a carefully curated mockery of reality! There is no reason not to teach kids about all of human history, including deliberate destruction and dismissal. It does not change the story one bit to acknowledge more people in the frame. It hurts NO ONE to teach kids about the history of strong humans of every shade of color and identity. But it is a little uncomfortable to realize you supported evil lies. So history books stay myoptic and moronic males stay CERTAIN that they *gave* inherent rights and that they were literally born to greatness.

Congressmen, federal judges, FBI agents, CIA agents, Secret Service agents, and many other federal and federally contracted occupations tend to make 6 figure salaries (from our tax dollars, mind you) with lifelong benefits, while ones that don't get put out of work, and generally it isn't for an extended period of time. My point being is that federal occupations tend to have good job security and pay well, which is why people want them in the first place.

Maybe one solace is that even when one decade's prospects for something--earnings, job prospects, home ownership, investment returns--are stacked against you ON AVERAGE, there are plenty of people who do well for themselves by getting to work and making the most of what they have rather than dwelling on what they don't have or what takes a little more effort than for another group of people.
Also, when I needed to fix something on my car or house, I went to the library to look at a book (possibly outdated) to learn how to fix or update the thing. Then, I went to the store and paid list price or ordered from a toll free number and waited six weeks for the whatever to arrive. Now, I go online and someone has kindly posted a video showing exactly what I need to know, and ordering online means the item will arrive in about two days...and I'll pay half of what I used to. The last time I bought a car, I got several dealers to send me their best price via email, and went to buy w/o hassle
