Better things might come around if we planned long-term and stopped thinking about whether an action would benefit us immediately. Btw our standard of living compared to the 60s is ludicrously higher. People take so many conveniences as necessity that they trap themselves on a hamster wheel trying to pay for it all.

So I checked and apparently I was wrong. While this case is fake, it seems that there has been one such case of retaliation by the courts. However it has many intricate details since you can't exactly recreate the injuries, the Islamic Law cannot be done easily. While it is done for murder all the time.

Yeah... look up some of the comic history of Captain America when he leaves the title and you'll see how it doesn't make much sense. Good try otherwise I suppose.

Doom wasn't great, but also wasn't the worst video game movie by far. If they didn't do that final sequence were it was like he was playing the game it probably would have been even better. Until then the movie was actually a pretty standard sci-fi/horror movie, then they forced that in and took it straight to campy video game status.

A truly good writer can tell a compelling story while using intelligence and logic as well. The fantastical can be forgiven if it is presented well.

As always people have no idea what they are talking about. The first calls homosexuality an abomination. Obviously God isn't just going to say, "oh it's alright now." The punishments though are under the old law before Jesus's death, we are now under the law of the spirit. Anyway that was back when sex after marriage was expected.
