You are way behind the times, buddy. You need to treat her as an equal, while knowing when to hold a door open and when to not ("I don't need a man to control when I can enter or exit a building"), when to pull out a chair, etc. But paying for the meal is definitely on the list of stuff you're still expected to do.

I've watched three videos in the past few weeks of a police dog not obeying commands. In one the dog got away from the handler and attacked a guy on the ground, complying, in handcuffs, with two officers on top of him. In one the dog went after a guy on the ground complying. In one the dog went after a completely innocent woman and refused to let go. Each one of these lasted several minutes, with the cops casually telling the dog to let go and yelling at the people to stop moving. They spend too much time training these dogs to bite and hold and not enough time obeying commands. The handler should say "release" or something similar and the dog should let go and return to the handler's side.

Fun fact: mature sunflowers actually don't face the sun, they always face east. It's a common misconception. Heliotropism (plants that do follow the sun) is a common trait in plants, just not sunflowers.

(other guest here) Plus the fact that criminals are often people who were feeling isolated from the rest of society in one way or another, which helped them become criminals in the first place. Thus, you may not help them become good people if you treat them like shit.

Christianty is not about making life free of suffering but about making it more bearable for everyone.
You are supposed to help each other and not to hurt people. It is that simple.
Donations are not supposed to buy you a place in heaven. You have to do good deeds yourself.
The people who do not understand that, or those who think that helping your neighbor means only helping those closest to you as long as they share your morals or your religion and exclude 'sinners', cannot be considered Christians at all.
There isn't really the need of a church at all.
Only the churches and preachers (of every creed btw) tell that to people...
