if you dont actually remember any of the decade, you arent a kid from that decade. imo you need to be alive atleast half of it (ie born in 85 or earlier to even be considered as an 80s kid).
You also don't have to just be one, you can identify with "80s kid" things and "90s kid" things because you really aren't an adult for almost 2 whole decades
