It makes me laugh when people are offended by historical accuracy.

I just took the AP US History exam after studying almost nonstop for a week, so now whenever something like this pops up my brain goes, "HISTORICAL FIGURE HAS BEEN SIGHTED. HERE ARE A STRING OF RANDOM FACTS ABOUT HISTORICAL FIGURE. HERE IS HISTORICAL FIGURE'S IMPACT ON HISTORY. HERE IS LONG-WINDED RANT ABOUT HISTORICAL FIGURE. SGJIHFBJJKJH"

Ooh, the "switch religions for a day" sounds fun.. Though in my case it would be "adopt any religion for a day".

A guy in my class was saying something similar to this: "Seriously, just call me black. My black ancestors were from Panama. Not Africa. Panama."

In any case, "trying too hard" is one of the stupidest grounds for making fun of someone. Oh yes, shame on them for putting a lot of effort into something.

That could've either mean "I'm sincerely concerned for you because you're my friend and I believe this with all my heart," or, "Why don't you believe the same things as I do, you heathen scum"
I'm not sure which way I would take it; it would probably depend on who said it and on their tone of voice.

I don't know, I learned how to use a computer when I was that young, so it seems that this is the natural direction that things would move in.

Really, this doesn't have that much to do with our generation. This kid has actual mental illnesses, the same ones that have been affecting people for many generations; they're just manifesting in a different way because culture has changed.
