So in my last minute of possible survival I googled an image and posted my story online.

It is actually an old search and rescue plane for the United States coast guard, not the air force like the article says. A pilot and a radioman went out answering a distress call to a plane that got lost and had to emergency land in freezing conditions. The pilot was able to rescue 1 man and bring him back to the ship they were operating off of and when the went back to get the second crew member they hit a storm and radio contact was lost. The plane was found a few years ago but was unable to be excavated due to weather. So glad those lost soldiers are coming home. From a coastie.
