Where I live, people pretty much know your entire family tree line because we identify ourselves like this: [first name] [father's name] [gradfather's name] [great grandather's name] [great great gradfather's name]. For some, like me, that's enough, but most people add the family/tribe's name at the end.
Usually, though, people call you by your name, or you and your father's name, or you and your family's name. I don't know about you guys, but I think it's easier this way because the combination of different names lessens the chance of mixing up people.
