Some rock enthusiasts despise them for lacking in creativity and complexity, criticizing the band for being overly repetitive by adhering to closely the formula that has brought them fame, and recycling so many elements of past hits to create new ones. This complaint is usually summed by the statement "All their songs sound the same" Some Critics are resentful of the fact that NIckelback has garnered for itself such fame and fortune, while the bands that they perceive as infinitely better, remain in relative obscurity, perhaps because they aren't as commercial.
