If he invested this much effort into actually meeting someone, he wouldn't need to do all this

The first is an ad hoc argument, lacking premise and evidence. I'm Catholic and active in my community, as well as that of my friend's Christian community, and from the pamphlets, teachings, and forums we offer, it's against what we believe, how they carry on in a bid for publicity and donations.
As for this "Age of Miracles", nande12 was incorrect; there are frequent reported miracles happening in every generation, up to today, that are recognised by Christian (and other) faiths, and others still up for debate, but whose miraculous nature is acknowledged, including Medjugorje, Colton Burpo, and many, many stories and revelations reported in times of war and strife, including on catastrophic days as 9/11.

Still largely unconnected. Faith healers are known to have their own "brand" of Christianity, and much of it is a sham to make cash. A lot of Catholics and Christians will denounce this sort of practice, given that they're using God as a means to earn a buck and lack the humility that Catholics and Christians are expected by the same Bible these guys thump on.

In regards to the substance question, I politely argue yes; though she did choose to consume alcohol and drugs, her judgement thereafter was affected, and thus cannot be trusted. That fact that he must take into consideration, and from then on decide no. However, with the question of fake ID, I agree; she had in that scenario committed fraud, and given that he had no knowledge he was committing an illegal act, he shouldn't have to face charges.

See, I'm never one to get into these things, but I respectfully have to step in here. Yes, we of the Friend Zone do understand that what you are looking for with us is a platonic friendship, and myself and those around me typically respect those boundaries. However, the issue for us lies in the phrase "If only there was a guy like you" or whatever variation the phrase comes in. That says that what you're looking for is us, and that you know it too, and from that point on we can't understand why you won't give it a shot. Our hearts are screaming for you to take the leap, to give us, those who know you better than anyone, than yourselves, a chance. Because we're tired of seeing you hurt, tired of seeing someone else take advantage of you and your need for companionship, which even as friends we are more than happy to do. That's why we seek something more; to end the hurt, to see you happy, to have you smile. It's not about the sex; it's because we truly love you and give a damn.
