A moral dilemma 20 comments

Doesn't matter. The whole point was to find a solution, but that solution didn't necessarily have to come from one of the choices. It's about problem solving via using all resources, not just the obvious options.

It's easy to judge, but remember you don't know the full story. 7 comments

The same applies to emergency services. Cops, EMTs, firefighters- we all have to, at some point, break the bad news to someone that the CPR didn't work and they aren't coming back, or that their house has burned to the basement and that they lost everything, or whatever the news may be. If you've ever seen someone in emergency services make a cynical remark, or crack a joke about a situation, or look annoyed with a person or a situation, it's not because they don't care. It's because they have a shift to finish, more fires to fight, more bodies to see, and they can't hinge on this one thing or they can't do their job for the next person that needs help.

Same with the HP series. In general, you just gotta know what you're looking for to find the good ones.

As a first generation American with close ties to my Canadian relatives, I can tell you this is false. Canadians tend to think we're a bunch of idiots, yeah, but like with anyone else they treat us with respect.
