Just the right amount of tart and sweet.
For smoothies go with ripe to very ripe, overripe in a pinch.
For cereal toppings go with barely ripe to ripe.
Baking go with very ripe to overripe.
This has been a banana psa.

I wonder what being beheaded feels like
Do you feel everything up until you die?
Does your brain go into shock?
I would assume it'll be like getting cut but suddenly you don't feel the rest of your body.
or maybe it's like phantom limbs where you think you feel the rest of your body...
Dang i really wanna know but to truly know you have to be beheaded...

had one where you had to push the countdown timer to open the close button before the timer was done. it was a mess. Also one where if you pushed the x button once it took you to the appstore but if you pushed it again it closed.

I'm just thinking of current tech, also reading more on it, it comes down to the rate that your caretakers(doctors? scientists?) thaw you, There needs to be more testing on the reanimation of frozen cells. So it doesn't work now. Maybe more investment into research and development might make cryogenics/cryonics a more viable option to life prolongation. Still for me it's all in the future, and not in the now.

Rome wasn't named in a day 1 comments

So it wasn't one city. It was two cities. The story of the two brothers is ultimately a story of the importance of the state. A common theme of Roman works and neo-classical works, is that the state is the most important thing, more important than your family. The story of Remus and Romulus is that both had these up and coming cities but when it came to security and trade disputes, the cities and its members were always fighting. To resolve this, Remus wanted to cooperate, but Romulus wanted to destroy Remus and his city, basically setting up how Rome would continue to educate its members. That when it comes to the state or your family, pick the state. Also I just know the story and some art history so actual historians please correct me.

cryogenics involves freezing tissues, freezing is often associated with ice, so i like the concept but in practice it's kind of horrifying to promise people that their dying, or dead loved ones can be cured in the future. It is horrifying because there is a lot of room for failure. Some examples are contamination of the capsule, failure of the temperature regulator, loss of power, and many things. This is all before we even tackle the fundamental issue. Cells that are frozen get ripped apart when they thaw, since the volume of water expands during freezing, it also contracts during melting. Meaning the cells are very very much dead. The hope is twofold then. That by the time a cure is found for the disease your loved one suffers from there is also a solution to the whole frozen tissue thing.
