Did you intentionally misunderstand what I said? I did not say the penalty was well deserved but the malicious compliance of letting her drown by following the rule.

Neil Shubin explains this in his book Your Inner Fish which is surprisingly fun to read.

Since her subjects just abided by absurd rules, I'd say it's a clear case of well deserved malicious compliance.

Which one? The one they made insufferable in the show to please no one, or the one in the comic series where the relationship just wasn't meant to be?

I'll second that. My first impression was that I would rather feed than fuck them. But then I took a step back and read more into the picture and discovered Lucia's heavenly gem in it.

That's only half of the story. "The Trump administration in February 2020 negotiated a withdrawal agreement with the Taliban that excluded the Afghan government, freed 5,000 imprisoned Taliban soldiers and set a date certain of May 1, 2021, for the final withdrawal. And the Trump administration kept to the pact, reducing U.S. troop levels from about 13,000 to 2,500, even though the Taliban continued to attack Afghan government forces and welcomed al-Qaeda terrorists into the Taliban leadership." Biden only executed what his predecessor had ratified. uu uu uu.factcheck[dot]org/2021/08/timeline-of-u-s-withdrawal-from-afghanistan/

Their historical equivalents would be robber barons not road pirates but I agree with the comparison.

Wait, this isn't common knowledge? I'm not a native speaker and even I understood that without explanation.

Looks like submerged snapping turtle to me. Don't be fooled by their name, they are absolutely harmless. Especially the big ones are very shy but actually love human contact. You should pet it on the head next time. They love that.

Not be that guy but a neutron star is already dead. What's it supposed to do? Die again? To become what? Come to think if it, yeah, I am totally that guy.

I'd call it good for Flickr but inappropriate for a funny meme site. Well, you asked.

Sure, let's use a coin for reference of which only ~4% of the world's population have a clue how big it is. This is the internet, you have the use standard units like bananas for scale. You know, anything but the metric system.

Yep, let's stick with that. I'm not sure you're right but I prefer your suggestion over anything my imagination came up with, by far.
