I know that everybody does crazy things that their parents don't know much about, but i hate that she tries to cover what she is doing by saying every person is like her, the only diference being that she does those thing publicly

It's just letters. But it proves very handy in talking in secret with friends. Especially in certain situations such as cheating in different games, since talking in another language is not a choice, or simply commenting on something, or anything else you want. And it certanly would help if a war were to begin
