The guy is great and hell of an inspiration for so many people... that being said: having seen a couple videos of him doing what he's doing, I'm super happy that I will never meet him in public traffic. He's using the entire lane for himself and is driving his bike like he just left from a 3-day liquor binge in a frat house. I mean, he's doing great for a blind guy... but I wouldn't like to be riding near him any more than during his shooting practice or when he's taking a leak...

Yeah, well, I tend to forget how "normal" persons can't un-see things and may have nightmares from what they saw during the day...

I don't think any age is too early for learning that looks don't really make a person(ality). Literally every other person will look less "different" to them than that guy. The more I think about it, the more I want such a person in every Kindergarten.

The comment is about farm workers though, not farmers... I don't know how this works in Oregon, but mostly, farm workers are lousy paid immigrants, and if they don't go to work, under whatever shitty circumstances, they have no food on their tables, for sure.

What does the government have to do with anything in the first place? If Amazon wasn't there, you think all these people would be unemployed? You have any idea how much of that "cut" goes to the employees and how much goes to Satan, uhm,. Bezos?

And by employees you mean these caged up people in their coronoa breeding stations who are not allowed to go to the bathroom so they need to piss in soda bottles?

First of all that might make you more sensible to look for local companies, 2nd I'll take any middleman gladly as long as I can avoid the pure evil that Amazon represents. But hey,why not let Satan rule us, as long as it's all so convenient.

Oh come on, when you loose your job and your social circle, you have done way more than expressing your opinion, this is the exact type of whiny bullshit lie I was talking about. What you're referring to is usually someone knowingly overstepping lines and ignoring like a written warning in order to get fired and start a new career as professional martyr and/or right wing poster boy. Gimme a fucking break.

No, you got it all wrong. Whining about Cancel Culture doesn't require being actually cancelled in any way. It's enough to have anyone grouching or even complaining about something they like or prefer or said. Proof? Look at ANYone complaining about being cancelled these days: they're literally present EVERYwhere except usually that one place who told them to fuck off.

That's in theory, on a plain field. In real life there's obstacles between the sender and the receiver, like in this case the car body, usually metal. I don't buy that either...

This is fine! - (it actually is: we don't have kids we could worry about, still got our pretty much crisis-proof jobs we don't even hate, got a little money on the bank and no depts at all, never been the super-socializing people anyway, see our few but very close friends even more than before, our marriage is perfect, ...)

Yeah, so sad how the white minority of former slaves in the Ottoman empire is still struggling from... wait, no...
.
Actually, the idea of races and the inferiority of certain races came after the ottoman slave trade. While it's true that slavery did exist in pretty much every human society from the very beginning, it was the Europeans who started to argue how the people they wanted to enslave were "different" enough to not regard them as actual human beings.
.
I'm afraid anyone feeling the knee-jerk need to mention "white slavery" when it's about the european/american slave system, might at the very least be just a teenie-weenie bit oblivious. Or maybe worse.

Maybe it's because I have seen it from two different sides for a long time. Half my family is austrian and I have often seen them shocked by german candor which they perceived as rude and blunt. In my business career I have met so many people from all over the world who were really shocked about the perceived attitude of germans.
.
Don't get me wrong here, I'm used to our mentality as well, and people tend to prefer what they are used to.So do I. I would always prefer candor over white lies, but passively more than actively. Most of our close friends are not german and we have learned from them that you can be quite open and honest and still come across way more respectful and pleasant than your average german. Being polite, respectful and considerate doesn't mean telljng white lies.

He(?) never said he'd choose candor, as it seems he won't date german women, but rather italian women.
.
Usually german candor is received as incredibly rude by most people, and I must say, they have a point. Only germans, swiss-german and dutch people have that sort of extreme candor, and in way too many cases, it's just a lame excuse for being utterly impolite and an unhinged lust for insulting people. "Why no, I'm not an inconsiderate asshole, it's candor, look it up, Untermensch!"

"The world" tried to "bully" America into the metric system like a parent bullying their child into wearing the right shoe on the right foot and the left one on the left. At a certain point it's up to the kid and after a while it's probably not the only thing they do different than their peers.
