The mortality rate in a plane crash is higher for those sitting near windows. I'll pass.

The other gorilla mentioned, Koko had a pet kitten that she adored and cared for the same way gorillas care for their own. She would sign " good soft cat". Animals definitely feel and think, but not the way we do so we tend to assume they are stupid and emotionless.

"Natural defense" isn't much different than acquiring "their own immunity". It's the same idea. Exposure to a pathogen ( disease causing microbe ) in a vaccine would be safer because the virus in the vaccine is killed or weakened. Once your body has been exposed to the virus it can produce antibodies specialized to deAl with the specific disease. Becoming exposed to a disease that isn't killed or injured first in a natural environment wouldn't be as safe, because you would get sick before you develop antibodies.

That's not because of the vaccine. In a vaccine the body is exposed to dead or extremely weakened virus, triggering an immune response, telling the body exactly how to handle the virus in question in the future. No one has ever died from being unable to "handle" a vaccination.
