To be fair, he didn't write any of his books. He always just wanted to be worth money and having monetized government through his weird groupie cult in addition to grifting, he doesn't need to pretend to be anything anymore.

Whether it produces colder air or more cold air is a distinction without a difference. I don't think it's a gender thing. I think he just doesn't have any male friends who roll their eyes at his insistence that "it's not colder air!" True story for me this month though: I, a grown adult, was told we don't need to turn the wireless mouse on and off in the conference room for meetings. It's not saving any battery. I was in the room with four other grown adults who also had been turning the mouse to 'off' after meetings. Most of us thought it was a policy, in our defense. Still, humans grasp "needs to sleep" way better than "saves the system from unnecessary effort and wear". We are creatures of habit and interventions to improve habits are not fun for either party but hopefully do result in improvement and a better time all around.

Obviously, yes - there is no universe in which is is useful to have the cashier provide feedback of any type on my purchases. Honestly.

I'm just saying - you've done a lot of mental effort to remember one false accusation and air it here. But there are women who are hurt every day by individuals who hunt their own species - either through mass murder or SA. There's no question on the stats. But you remember this. You have a sense of justice. You just don't want it to be realistic.

The excitement of the right for their incompetent, petty child is sincerely the wildest thing about this timeline. "I don't wanna think and this guy gives me permission! It's awesome!"

We can, though. Agree with disobedience 1,000%. However, there is no excuse for not voting. If someone thinks the county is a disaster and resistance is required but they don't participate in elections, they at heart do not believe what they say enough.

It'll never catch on for the same reason that LockHerUp and LetsGoBrandon did. Thugs, wannabees, and followers to the right. Actual rule of law and science to the left. The implied reality of both the slogans I mentioned is that any pretext can be pretended to be real; reality is not a deterrent to a preferred emotional truth. That had never worked for humans as a species in the entire history of humanity because the cost is too high. I don't agree with implied violence; it's part of the reason why I'm not on the right in the first place. I don't abhor violence. I abhor mob group permissiveness and injustice. This is why both of the above slogans are so stupid and annoying. They imply 'my way or the highway and damn the consequences. I'll burn it all down to feel a certain way.' From the TEA party to MAGA, it's deliberate cowardly chosen ignorance. Followers who need a cover for their cowardice and any excuse for why they get benefits but no costs.

Legitimately this is for me one of the upsides of working in an office. I can only know what I know. I can only think what I think. I can only make the friends that I can make. But work? Those people are paid to hang out near me. If I do my job and try, they will exist near me and I can be exposed to other thoughts, other people, new ways of looking at the world and how to spend time. Work is a whole thing, I get it, but I appreciate the routine and the opportunity to know people that I otherwise wouldn't.

I do have friends I legitimately can't have a conversation with until we discuss what we will discuss. We actually consume such different things that we don't know where the other is coming from automatically and don't know about the situation they're frustrated about.

That's why the Republicans are all-in on gerrymandering. We might be headed for a war because the Boomers' last kick in the teeth is generational murder so they still feel special. Hatred, destruction, apathy, antipathy, and full throated denial of all of it. Very Republican. When your world view is that everyone is a tool, you lose your own humanity. So yeah, they're all in on burning down the Republic. The American Experiment isn't giving them all the power quickly enough, you see.

Incorrect. You are preaching for indirect methods and calling it strength. Two responses:
(1) Stop hoping bad things happen to people so they grow or suffer; it's lazy and weak. A culture of discrimate or indiscriminate corrective violence will never work.
(2) This is the same group that is working to dismantle public schools -and going along with the dismantling public space and resources in every direction. Since they only care about themselves, they will send their kids to private schools or homeschool them. Your lack of care accords with and is defeated by theirs.

Can confirm this was the actual holiday on the state calendar when I started elementary school (it was not by the time I was in fifth grade). I never realized at the time how blindingly stupid it was to celebrate a couple of years of treason. It's still blindingly stupid but at least it's not normalized. That's why MAGA/CWN and etc are so so angry. They have no excuse to be such worthless POS and they spend all their time secretly hoping to somehow find a way to have that not be the case.
