i think those are typically a different scenario, people that you need dead vs just enemy soldiers not that different than you in a normal firefight that you just want to be unable to fight you any more. and i would imagine even the snipers choose to neutralize with nondeadly force plenty of times when its situationally applicable.

sooo we should silence the other persons right to free speech? the person who responded with why they felt person 1's opinion was shit and needed to be eliminated? the right to free speech is also the right of another to say their piece about what you said. legal right just means that you cannot go to jail or face other sanctions fro the gov't for it, it does not grant you the right to not have repercussions for your speech.

ugh this new generation is just the worst remember when we were kids and so great that the adults talked about how much potential our generation was instead of how it was going to ruin the world and no one thought that the way we were being raised was the source of all the problems in the world? omg GET OFF MY LAWN

you can see this phenomenon hard at work on facebook trending topics... if you click on it and go to the page people posting the links, they are only posting it because they are mad its news. but they made it news by sharing it. they shared it so much that it made it t front page trending. we have created this system that feeds us news we hate by bitching so hard about the news we hate!

i've a few friends who were girls in school who are men now. and while i am totally whatever about it the fact remains that i have 10-18 years of memories of these people as girls and sometimes that memory just overrides. sometimes people need to just decipher intent. like in those situations if the word she slips, i fucking heard it too it was a mistake and not intentional and theres really no need for a lecture or offense because there was no intent or malice it was just me remembering you as the person i have always known, regardless of gender.

the idea behind it is good, but it is becoming obsolete as the notion that a woman stays home is becoming a thing of the past, and it is abused a fair bit. the real idea is that if say you are married for 20 years and you stayed home and cared for the children and have no job experience or learned ability to care for yourself, that you lost all that raising the family and became a dependent, and that the person who makes the real income only earned the ability to do that because of the person who kept the home in order, and thus part of that salary really does belong to the other party. i feel like when its used correctly its a right and proper thing, and i have no real idea if its abused as much as the media makes it seem, but it does at least appear to be misused a lot.

its purpose is for when a spouse specifically did not work and/or get an education as a result of the commitment to the relationship. like you get married at 18 and tis decided she stays home with the children and the man goes on to school and gets a high paying job, she becomes a dependent so in the event there needs to be a divorce she is not held hostage but instead he still has to care for her, and can come with stipulations like maybe she start going to school or something. However how it is supposed to work and what happens are not always one and the same, but that is the INTENTION for it.

well thats the thing about nearly all heroes... its a specific action that makes them such and has no relation to whether they are actually good people its just if they did something great that one time or sometimes just because of the situation they were in.

most of americas cities are too sprawling for things like walking and biking, its the same reason busing tends to terrible and other mass transit. the places that properly use mass transit (metropolis cities) also tend to have walking and biking areas. in my city i feel i live really close to my work but its still about a 30 minute drive and probably a super long bike ride, other places i have lived in the same city i have been almost an hour ride from work. theres some random bike trail down a large swatch of the city, but its kinda random and i dont think serves much purpose for going anywhere.

its more like not donating an organ you could technically live without (or part of one you could regrow) to a stranger who needs it.
