Double standard is simply applying a different set of rules to a inherently similar situation and that is for sure what is being done here we never leave the realm of aesthetics in people. The statement is that women want to be able to wear makeup and get breast implants and still have a man who got all that he has naturally. While I agree with you that this happens very rarely I’d still say that it’s a double standard when it does

I guess originally is a bad way to put it but outside of botany in some fields where plants are used in a culinary respect. vegetable is a blanket term for whatever plant matter we eat. And unsurprisingly humans were culinarily inclined before we were botanically inclined so we had put a blanket term over things either inedible vegetation or vegetables.
