Depends on the media you consume. Bitching at “the media” because the article you read on Facebook is horseshit takes away credibility from decent journalists

It’s how satire works, like in Gulliver’s travels. The very fact that it looks real and seems believable is meant to force the audience to consider why they believe something like that. If what they’re doing is fucked up enough that some people would believe they’d put orcas in plastic bags, it makes you think about what they’re actually doing. Satire is supposed to be believable or it doesn’t serve its purpose.
