Also I believe the flag already is knocked down. When the lander launched the flag was too close and the exhaust knocked it over.

Equalists and Humanists are the terms that I have seen being used by true feminists.

Actually you could call the different waves of feminism different types thereof. What I believe mrrsparklez is referring to is not the femenist movement as a whole, but rather the group of so called feminists who actually are only looking to veil their misandry under the term feminists. For example, and I came across a news story fairly recently of an occurrence at a college campus. A talk was going on regarding issues that males face, in this case a rising rate of male suicide. Partway through the talk a group of "feminists" stormed into the lecture hall and began doing their best to disrupt the lecture, hurling insults, screaming at male individuals, and blowing air horns (the last of which can be considered assault.) After they had completely destroyed the lecture the group left, and to my knowledge faced no consequences. Groups and occurrences such as this are becoming so prevelant that many true feminists that I know have begun to distance themselves from the term.

It's not that they are Muslim, that is perfectly ok. The problem that the U.S. and most of the world has is that they are a terrorist group. In fact, I'm pretty sure even most Muslims see them as terrorists.

Well I don't claim to be a Church historian, but I do have some knowledge of our darker points. So ask away and I'll see if I can give you an answer.

For LDS Missionaries ( I don't know about other Churches) we don't try to push it on you, at least to my understanding. We will ask if we can talk to you about the church and the gospel and invite you to learn more but if you say no we will leave you alone. Now I'm sure some Missionaries may be overbearing, but this is not the majority. In fact we have a portion of the Book of Mormon which shows that "Bible Bashing" people doesn't work. Instead we try to be good examples for of who Mormons really are by helping others.

I actually think the girl should face some legal consequences for doing this 14 comments

One, it would not have been rape if she had been over 18 because she consented. The fact that she had and used a fake ID shows her consent. It is called Statuary Rape because minors are not considered to be legally able to give consent. However the fact that she used an ID to lie about her age shows that she committed fraud and should absolve the guy of any legal consequences provided he can prove that he believed she was over 18, which the ID does.

And how many men are falsely accused of rape, sexual assault, and domestic abuse? How many have their names dragged through the mud and their lives ruined, given a faux trial in which they are wrongly convicted and spend years in prison only to have the truth come out much later? And how many of those, once released see, that there are absolutely no consequences for the women who destroyed their entire lives? To cover up one set of abuses in favor of another is woefully ignorant and merely leads to more abuse.

The guy of course, because in modern society it has become the normal viewpoint that a woman is not responsible for her decisions while drunk. Which brings up the question, if a woman is drunk and chooses to drive should she be held accountable? After all she was drunk and can't be held responsible for her decision to drive. (/s)

All the same? Really? "Where were you?"-Alan Jackson, "Concrete Angel"-Martina McBride, "Mr.Mom"-Lonestar, and "If you're reading this"-Tim McGraw are all the same? I understand not likeing a genre and you are entitled to that opinion, but to say that all of it is the same is seemingly ignorant. While it is true that all country music has a similar feel to it, this is true for all genres. In fact you might even go so far as to say that it is what defines a genre.

But even if they do not outright say to their kids "Hey, heads up, that god thing some of you friends are talking about, it doesn't exist."(Yes that was a joke, no I don't think they actually say that) their actions will show their beliefs. Kids in general are extremely perceptive and will pick up on certain behaviors.

I know that most atheist would not attack another person. That is why I made a point of saying that it was the well known atheists, as in those who are commonly seen in the media. Can you honestly tell me that you have never seen an atheist go after a religion, or a post that does the same? Honestly the very prevalence of the term "sky wizard" shows that existence of the view that those with religious beliefs are less intelligent. As for children I am glad you had the opportunity to see both points of view but in reality that does not often happen. Most children will follow the beliefs of their parents if for no other reason then it will be the norm for them growing up and we as humans do not enjoy going outside of our comfort zone. Can you honestly say that a kid growing being told there is no god is any different then a kid growing being told there is one?

And most atheist parents will raise their kids to believe that there is no god. Is this not the same thing? Parents will always pass on their beliefs to their children. Even those parents who claim that they will let their kids decide for themselves will influence their children's decision by the way they live. Personally I prefer religious groups spreading their beliefs over the most widely known atheists because in some way the religious groups believe they are doing something to help/save you, while well known atheists seem to take pleasure in attacking others, insulting their intelligence and beliefs.

Sounds a bit like Plato's Allegory of the Cave. How would their perception of the world develop? Would they create a new language? Depending on how soon they were put in the room how would their time before entering the room affect their thoughts and actions inside of it?
............Was I the only one who wanted to try it after reading the first part?
