I've never ever had a professor care whether someone was paying attention or not. If you're doing jack shit, just make sure you're quiet and not bothering others. Not sure why you bother. If you're not going to pay attention, just leave. Almost all my classes didn't grade attendance and it's not like you can get detention for not being in class. It's college, not high school.

I've had 50 nos but regrets...not a whole lot. The one that comes to mind is this: I grew up Mormon, couldn't date till 16 and even then you're looked down upon for dating outside the religion. There was someone who was interested in me, asked me out. Pitcher for the softball team. I regret not saying yes. It probably wouldn't have gone anywhere but...it's still a regret.

Does that mean no one in life is self-made? I mean, I couldn't have made it to where I am in life without the people in my life. I have the love and support of those who love me, and I them. I have my job thanks to someone else. I mean, hell, my parents raised me. Gave me the work ethic, love and care that let me get this far.
