I'm just wondering why a ten year old even knows about sexual orientation and things of that nature. I mean is that what any of us were thinking about at fucking ten? I'm sure this will get down voted but whatever, my point is that these kids now know way too much about shit they shouldn't.
I mean, this is all over the news and internet so of course they now about this. My little sister is only 8 and she knows. Maybe he has cousins or uncles that are gay/lesbian/bi.
My niece is 3, she knows her Aunty loves another lady, same goes for both my nephews aged 6 & 7. My oldest niece is 16 and knew about us when she was 10. They were all at our wedding. Kids know mopargirl.
I know they do, I just wish they could be innocent longer. Now days they know way to fast, that's all I'm saying, not that being gay is right or wrong. They should be thinking about cartoons and shit not adult topics.
In all fairness, ten year olds know perfectly well that mommy and daddy love each other and are married, and their grandparents, and aunts and uncles, so why not gay friends or relatives.
That's all i needed to hear Therza. Thanks.
P.S the reason I deleted my comments is because they told some real private things about me, and if anybody I happened to know went on here, they would probably confront me. I also don't have friends because of my social anxiety.
Yeah, I feel bad for saying those things to you. I understand why you deleted them. I'll keep you in my mind. I'll keeping hoping things work out for you. I know they will.
Also I understand your social anxiety I had that real bad in hs too. There's not a lot you can do about that besides drugs which isn't the way you want to go. But it will get better. Trust me.
i used to get in trouble all the time if i didnt stand and do the pledge, by teachers mainly. It wasnt like i was talking or doing anything bad during it, i sat respectfully quite while the other children did it, and when it was over i read my book. But still i got introuble for it. Rude :P
Way to go, little kid! It always got me in trouble when I wouldn't do it. I did it for the same reason, and also, because I feel like we shouldn't have the 'under God' but, because the US isn't supposed too be under a certain religion or deity. People are allowed to choose to worship whom they want, but 10 year olds shouldn't be forced to say it.
You know, when I see shit like tweaking and planking in society my faith in humanity begins to dwindle. After all, children are the future, so it's comforting to see that there is still some hope left :)
I disagree. I honestly don't see why anyone should have to say a pledge of allegiance and I think it's pretty close to nazism. Imho I think it's kind of disgusting.
Why are there some people posting that sexual orientation is an adult topic that kids shouldn't know about? It's love, and frankly I think the earlier children are taught that it doesn't matter what gender you love, the better.
The earlier the better, really. If they're not taught to respect all people from a young age, then they are likely to grow up to hate. Teach them early that there's nothing wrong. Ten year olds make fun of others for being gay all the time. I'm glad this one's different.
I was kinda thinking the same thing. I disagree with his position, but admire that he thinks for himself and takes a stand (although it's probably more likely that he got the idea from someone else). But the Pledge of Allegiance is about ideals. when you say it, you're not agreeing that things are great the way they are, you're pledging yourself to stand up for and work for those principles.
I'm sorry but I'm sick of all this "Gay" shit. I'm not against it, but now people are literally running up to me asking me to "PETITION FOR GAY RIGHTS!!!!". It's really getting annoying.
