Sometimes, it is a good idea to question your religion. At least when it comes to how others teach it to you. Besides. Questioning your beliefs makes them stronger.
God also wants everyone to question whether or not he is real because if a person doubts his faith then he truly does not believe it and is therefore not a willing Christian
"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls." - Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Matthew 11:29
"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." - Jesus Christ of Nazareth, John 13:34
What is left to question?
Jesus makes it okay to mix linen and wool, so we can ignore Leviticus? That's fantastic, because people quote the verse out of there about men lying with men against gay people all the time. Jesus definitely never spoke out against homosexuality, so that Leviticus is rubbish too, right?
Jesus didn't speak about a lot of things, that doesn't mean they arrn't part of Christianity. More likely He did speak about it, and it just wasn't recorded in the gospels. Or maybe He didn't speak about it because there was no need to do so at the time. Homosexual behavior is condemned by Paul, so it's safe to assume it's still against the rules.
I don't think he really spoke out against the mixing of fabrics- so we should probably stop doing that too, just to be safe. Oh, and he never spoke out against porn, but he totes meant too, amirite? And Justin Bieber, masturbation, hair dye, waking up before 7:00 a.m., stoning your daughter to death for talking to much, not believing in unicorns....
This is awesome. I am going to tell everyone that Jesus, God's perfect word on Earth, might have just forgotten some stuff, and its up to us to judge what He did and fill in the blanks. You sir, are a genius.
Way to totally distort my point. Allow me to introduce you to a radical concept -- it's called "logic." If you use logic, you can understand the context of certain things and connect dots to fill in spaces that are left blank and figure out how a certain concept applies in a given scenario, without someone having to spoon feed it to you. It's a wonderful thing. For example, Jesus never used the word "porn," but he did condemn "look[ing] upon a woman to lust after her," and if you don't think that includes pornography, you are a stranger to logic. And I recommend you get acquainted ASAP.
I'll trust you to know that. After all, your the one who is saying the world of God is up to interpretation and adaptation for whoever's brand of logic- that makes everything make so much more sense. Logically, people will believe the parts of the bible they want to. Because LOGIC. And Jesus said it afk, obviously :)
Mike if you're using logic to interpret the bible and what they meant and what need to stay true there's no reason why others cannot do that as well.
If you think it's fine to mix different cloths even though it tells you not to in the bible, why can't I chose to ignore the part where it says I can't look upon someone with lust?
Something's that's logical to you might not be logical to others. Just something to think about.
A lot of phrases from some sources of the bible are references to certain ways of life. Mixing cloths could mean something else in a different context.
I fond this kind of offending as a non-religious person because it's pretty much saying religion is the answer to everything and you can have no opinion otherwise
*found oh and
It's now very common to hear people say, "I'm rather offended by that." As if it gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more...than a whine. "I find that offensive." It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. "I am offended by that." Well, so fucking what.

I said exactly what skipping stones said and I get down voted? Here I thought our opinions were valued not hated just because they aren't the same as everyone else's. Religion is hated on on this website just because people think wrong of it.
Religion is not about that the Bible actually states that God gave us free will so we could choose whether or not to believe in Him. Quit preaching about being so "open minded" and then giving ignorant posts like this
Revelation 3:16 is just one of many verses to tell this.
"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." - Jesus Christ of Nazareth, John 13:34
