It just happens to be that I am a serious twi hard and I would like you to know that on page 510 and page 511 it states that they are not children of the moon aka werewolves but shape-shifters that call them selves werewolves
Ok guys guys. I happen to like Twilight and while I'm not super obsessive, I do feel the need to correct here. The werewolves in Twilight call themselves werewolves for lack of a better turn. It is explicitly stated in the fourth book they are NOT true werewolves. They're shapeshifters who can only turn into wolves.
...So actually yeah, they've just never heard of an Animagus before. Never mind XD
This guy is right. And there are true werewolves in the Twilight series, as is mentioned, but they are mainly confined to Europe and nearly extinct. It is mentioned that one of the Volturi is especially scared of werewolves and hunted them to near extinction.
