When people ask me to me social

I find it incredibly rude when people tell me to be more social.

What I hate is that when people ask me why am I not social and someone else tells them she is shy.
I'd just like everyone to know shy and socially awkward are two ddifferent things. Shy people know what to say yet they dont and socially awkward people dont have any idea how to continue convos in real time.

This is why I take a mobile everywhere. Start texting, appear busy.

I hate when this happens sooo much. I was on a school camp the other day and there was this thing where you went to sing and dance and everybody had to be there, so I just stood there then everybody would say "dance ! Sing !" Etc. And it pissed me off because I DONT WANT TO.

Whenever someone tells me to be more social, I start beating myself up about it and then become more unsocial because of being insecure.
