I live in Perth (Western Australia) the reason we do not live there is because it's extremely arid temperature and there is a very low water supply, however this map is actually incorrect because many indigenous owners live up north in the Kimberly(WA) as well as Darwin and Alice Springs (both in the Northern Territory). The part of Australia that is least populated is pretty much in the middle only this map is over exaggerated. The different states vary largely in their climate being semi arid, arid, monsoonal, tropical savannah, temperate maritime etc. WA, NT and SA are relatively dry and hot as they are subject to a semi arid climate winters are mostly wet and cool over east winters in Melbourne, Victoria involve snow something never seen in other states such as WA, NT and SA
2ndly its too bloody hot at the top
