I read about this young Man. He tackled down a suicide bomber in Pakistan trying to prevent him from detonating the bomb. He was killed and saved the lives of his classmates as the coward bomber was trying to detonate the bomb inside a school! He really was a brave person. I believe he was a teenager so I don't really remember his age. RIP.
Some people are destined to go out like a fucking badass. I hope this kid was one of the sort who fear old age. I know I do.

I hope he wasn't one that feared old age. I think that'd take away from his sacrifice. He probably wanted to experience a great many things, he probably wanted to travel, to learn, to laugh that little bit longer, but instead he threw that all away to ensure that others have the chance to grow old. Don't fear old age, it is a gift in itself.
Fear of old age is just my opinion, I personally hope to die in the USMC. I don't want to feel my self slow down, and I don't want my loved ones to pity me.Either way, this kid is a better person than most. What do you do when you know you're about to die? Do you fight and make your killers work for every drop of blood? Do you kneel and pray? Do you run? Or do you jump on the grenade to make sure others get to live?
I know what you mean, I don't fancy the idea of getting old either, but to wish for an opportunity to die young probably isn't the best, and my point is that to hope that he is a man that wanted to die young just seems a bit unfair. If you're hoping to die in a heroic way, you're hoping for a tragedy. I might not fancy the idea of growing old, but I hope I live a long life, and I hope you and everyone else does too, free from terror and murder and attacks like the one that this man prevented.
I'm not hoping he WANTED to die. Beyond that, I can see where you're coming from, even if I don't particularly agree with some of it. Either way, a happy life to you, my friend.
