Well that's kinda scary. I can only hope that the girl I'm currently having relations with doesn't forget too often. (Not sure how else to put it because we're not going out)
So if both men and women take it, we wouldn't have to deal with so much stress of if the other one was taking it or not.

Using the same analogy: it's like shooting an unloaded gun at a bulletproof vest.
If there happen to be bullets, the other has the vest, and if one forgets the gun, the other had already unloaded the gun anyway
~~
This wouldn't stop problems caused by both parties not using protective measures, but it's a better solution than leaving all the responsibilities to one gender.
The only reason these aren't on the shelves is because stopping millions of sperm is a heck of lot harder than stopping one egg. And it only takes one sperm getting through to cause a problem ...
Birth control side effects on women, found on webmd:
Nausea
Weight gain
Sore or swollen breasts
Small amount of blood, or spotting, between periods
Lighter periods
Mood changes
Abdominal pain (stomach pain)
Chest pain
Headaches (severe)
Eye problems (blurred vision)
Swelling and/or aching in the legs and thighs
...
I don't think losing sex appetite is that much to complain about, compared to this.
yeah, i understand that, and im much happier that i dont have to undergo that, but if the main aim is the have childless sex, than losing the appetite is a main point which might interest both sides. all my respect for those, who have to undergo all the above, and much more
Childless sex is the main goal, that is true. Though I can't imagine being horny when experiencing any of those syndromes above, either, so in conclusion this might affect your sex appetite too, in a way.
They did, but it didn't get past clinical testing because it caused side effects such as "moodiness, extreme cramps, increased sexual drive" and was considered inhumane.

That's how it would go.
