I'm doing my Historical Investigation for APUSH on feminism and its effect on the number of women gaining PhDs in Engineering. I was surprised at how much graduate programs actually discriminate. GRE passes are suspiciously unbalanced in favor of male applicants. Graduate programs do not allow maternity leave (it's classified only as sick leave).
I remember this one story where a girl talked about the interview process she went through to get her degree, where she was asked several times about her future marital status and whether or not she planned to have children.
Another girl talked about the fact that the university she went to denied her access to on-campus housing because of her gender, so she was forced to pay a higher rent.
It's all just ridiculous.
The question is referring to which path one will take seriously, you can either use your mind and earn respect or twerk your way to the middle ( a considerably easier task).
Can an attractive woman be intelligent? Absolutely! So can a provocative woman, but no one is going to respect you if you've manipulated a situation using sexuality.
Direct your anger to the lazy women taking the easy path and perpetuating stereotypes, you've got only yourself to pigeonhole.
Having your boobs way out is like a guy having his shirt off or showing off his biceps and these are the people that make me disappointed in this generation
it amounts to the same thing in a professional environment there is a certain dress code for anyone to be taken seriously. this goes for both men and women. so yes if you want to be taken seriously it is better to reign in the cleavage.
