Okay. So, this all happened during the French Revolution. Because Louis decided to help America (after their separation from England) financially instead of his own country, people began to become even angrier, peasants specifically. People were beginning to starve, while the Royals were living in extravagance, it was then people decided to take action. Maximilien Robespierre was one of the biggest contributors to the Revolution. This was the Enlightenment era, by the way, the time where new ideas were being expressed, such as scientific theory, and that there may not be a god. Anyway, so while they were trying to escape (which is treason), they were discovered because they weren't really good with disguise. What I mean by that is, they refused to let go of their extravagance, and at a time like that, nobody could dress the way Marie did, so they were EASILY discovered and beheaded. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, I'm using my common knowledge and didn't get any of this from a resource.
Bravo.
Maybe I should have put in a smiley.
